Almost 40 years later I took a photograph
of another door... at Niagara Falls in Winter.
The snow path... the partially open door...
It had the mystery I wanted
but it just needed stars.
And now I had the means:
Photoshop, of course, to say nothing of
the Hubble Space Telescope... the Internet...
a 1440 DPI, 8-color, archival inkjet printer,
a computer 500 times faster than my first one
with 15,000 times the memory.
and now the diffraction spikes are correct.
