Perhaps the church thought that the populace might miss the point.
Ms Lust was, after all, quite high up on the Münster tower.
This panel, from the high altar of a church in nearby Pfullendorf,
was matched by an opposite panel showing the redeemed entering heaven
but the eye is naturally drawn in the opposite direction.
Priests in the Middle Ages heard confessions behind the high altar
so these panels... at eye level...
would have been particularly well-placed.
I have to say that the creature standing over the card player
seems quite happy in his work.
